Fifty Shades of Grey - A Review On All Three Movies

Hi guys, It's been a year since the final fifty shades of grey movie instalment came out. So I wanted to do a little review of all the films because I know they have very mixed reviews and wanted to give mine. I must confess I have only read about three quarters of the first book and none of the others.
The cast of fifty shades was very well picked and I really like thhat they had up and coming stars but also already astablished actors and come on. Rita Ora did pretty well. I really liked the casting of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, and there is no mistaking that they did have chemistry on screen. For me personally I didn't see any awkwardness in the films and found them really nice to watch.
You can see a progression from the first film to the last of the actors ability, relationship building and the overall construction of the films, I do think this is more likely due to the different directors for the films as the later two have a better on screen perspective than the first.
I really liked the story line as well because, it's not just a film about BDSM and sex, it goes deeper than that, its about someone realising that they are more than they thought they were and opening themselves up to people and letting them in because they realise that not everyone in their lives is going to leave or hurt them. Yes he's controlling and into BDSM but underneath that there is a person who cares. And Dakota's character is also developing, she's never been in a serious relationship (being a virgin also) and becoming the person she always wanted to be.
I love the progression of the films, the first one really being about romance but not love being dark but in the BDSM sense, to then becoming about loving romance but having a darker element surrounding his mother and Dakota's boss being an abuser to finally proper love and life but with a really dark kidnapping and ransom and stalker.
One of the main reasons I've seen people not really like the film is "there's not enough sex", I understand that that's what the books are about and they are obviously more descriptive but to have a film out and it be in cinemas, they have to make compromises and get it to be appropriate or it would be a porn movie , which they could have easily done but they wanted people to enjoy the other aspects of the film as well as of course the gritty bits (like the shower scene and the red room of pain).
Overall, I really enjoy these films and think they are least worth a watch. I am a hopeless romantic so any movie with a romance element I will watch and 9 times out of 10 I will love it.
