Book Review: 7 Days by Eve Ainsworth
Hey guys, this week’s blog post is a book
review for a book called 7 Days by Eve Ainsworth.
This book really
struck a heart string with me because I was Jess.
This book is
written over 7 days from two different perspectives, the bully Kez and the
bullied Jess.
Jess is the older
sister who is in high school, living with her single parent mother trying to
make life work after her father abandoned them.
Kez is an only
child living with both her parents, her father is a drunk and is abusive and
her mother won't speak up.
This book is a
great read for young adults who are struggling in school with bullies or home
life. it really makes you think about how the other party is living and why
they are doing and who they are. it speaks about they different struggles young
people may have in their life and how they deal with them and how they deal
with them affects their outlook.
I thoroughly
enjoyed this book it really made me think about my time in school and how my
decisions made me who I am today and made me think of my bullies and why they
did what they did.
this story touches
on suicide and depression as well which are very big taboos in our lives at the
moment and speaking out about them shouldn't be as hard as it is. I am no
stranger to these and I do believe that reading this book could help people see
that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
if you have read
this please post a comment about how you found it.
