Book Review: Life on the Refrigerator Door
Hey guys, I know this is a book review and I still haven't done one for my summer reading list but its taking me a while to finish reading them because of how much university work I have been doing. Anyway I thought I'd give you a review of this book. I have read this once before about 5 years ago and I loved it then. So I bought it in January and today I was sat bored out of my mined and thought I'll read. I read this in under an hour.
Blurb: Claire and her mom share the same house, but they live on different planets... While Claire's world revolves around school, shopping and her new boyfriend, Mom is always busy with work, work and more work. But they do have one thing in common: the kitchen fridge. It's where they leave little notes for each other. It's how they keep in touch. Then one day Claire comes home to a note that's different from the others.
And life is never the same again.
This book shows a relationship between a mother and daughter who are like ships passing in the night. But one day her mother has news for her that puts a new strain in their relationship. For the next 9 months you see their relationship go through all sorts of emotions through short messages that are left on the refrigerator door. They talk about thing's every mother and daughter talk about but all emotions are heightened.
This book makes you think about all the stupid things that you argue with your mother about. How meaningless some things are and how short life really is.
This book is truly inspirational, eye opening, moving and heart warming.
I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a book that has feelings pouring from its spine.
Have ypu read this book before? What were your thoughts?
Happy Blogging,
