Vita Coco Coconut Oil Review
Hey guys, I had some samples through the door and Vita coco coconut oil was one of them. I've heard a lot about how good coconut oil is so I decided to try it out. This is something new for me as I hate the smell of coconut. I tried it 3 different ways.
1. First I used it for cooking. I used it to fry some chicken (I had actually ran out of my other oil that I use). The outcome was the same as if I had used other oil. But the chicken wasn't as oily, which is a good thing. It actually tasted better as well. So overall i'd give this a good 8/10 the only problem is the price of it. You can get coconut oil at lower price just not this brand. So for cooking purposes its got a thumbs up.
2. Secondly, I used it to shave my legs. Many people on social media swear by using it. I liked it. I had smooth legs afterwards, it didn't cause me any trouble i.e. not susceptible to cuts (I always get at least one but this time I had none). My legs were so smooth and 3 days later still are. I have dry skin and I can honestly say they are not dry anymore. I would recommend this to people who have trouble with dry skin on they're body. I have to moisturise after shaving every time but with this I didn't as it did it for me. Overall I'd give it a 9/10, the 1 being the smell haha.
3. Lastly, I used it on my hair as an overnight conditioner. I put it on my dry hair, left it overnight (I wore a shower cap to bed so it didn't ruin my pillow cases). Washed it out the next morning. I had to do two washes to get it all out of my hair otherwise when I had dried it it would have looked greasy. I didn't put any conditioner in my hair which was strange as I use it every time. So after drying my hair I could already tell a difference, my hair was slicker ( normally after drying it is like a frizz ball) and shinier. It was a good start. Today, my hair is second day hair and normally I would have to wash it but my hair isnt greasy at all. Overall I think this is amazing and if you have oilier hair I would stay away from using this. I will definitely be doing this again. So I give it a 9/10 only because I had to wash it twice.
Overall, I think even for the price of it you can do a lot with it so I will be buying it again.
